FAQ

What is powder coating?
Powder coating is a durable finishing process where a dry, electrostatically charged powder is applied to metal and then cured in an oven. The result is a tough, uniform, and attractive finish that resists corrosion, chips, scratches, and fading better than most liquid paints.
What metals do you powder coat?
We powder coat steel and aluminum components of all kinds. If you have another metal, let us know—we’re happy to review compatibility and recommend the right prep and coating approach.
Why choose powder coating over paint?
Powder coating offers superior durability, corrosion resistance, and color retention with a thicker, more even finish. It’s also more eco‑friendly—no solvents and minimal VOCs.
Will threads, mating surfaces, or precision areas be protected?
Absolutely. We mask critical features (threads, grounding points, press-fit surfaces, and label areas) to maintain function and fit. Please mark or note any precision areas when you submit your parts.
How should I care for powder coated parts?
Clean with mild soap and water using a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid harsh solvents, aggressive brushes, and pressure washers at close range to protect the finish.
Are there parts you cannot powder coat?
We can’t coat items that cannot withstand oven temperatures (typically ~375–400°F/190–205°C), or parts containing non-removable plastics, electronics, or oil-soaked materials.
